Fiesta de Despedida

I love parties. Especially parties where I know everyone. I’m decidedly less comfortable at parties where I know almost no one. This party was full of our closest friends, neighbors, and co-workers. There were friends that I have known from high school, 30 years ago, and neighbors that we just met 2 years ago. The weather was perfect and the kids were all running around playing games.  We feel so loved and supported by everyone. The community we have built here in Denver does make leaving bitter-sweet. So much so that even though the party was a blast, tears were shed. It is so comforting to know that as excited as we are for this adventure we have this incredible community of people to return to.  ¡Hasta luego, amigos!
